I have a 9 year old collie x who loves to jump even despite her age! I was wondering if there are any local dog shows in the east midlands? If so do they have a website?
Thanks
Beth

If you have a look at that website link for Agilitynet, they have a page of A-Z of clubs in the country so you should be able to find one near you, or join the forum and ask on there.
Agility isn't just jumps, there are other obstacles as well, which you really need to train for at a club so it's safe for your dog. Especially those nutty collies!
Show wise, once you are ready, your dog needs to be registered with the Kennel Club for their shows (if she isn't pedigree you register on the Activities Register). Although there are independent shows as well that run shows - these are often a bit smaller, and nice and friendly for beginners

Many also run classes at more heights, or veteran classes (which tend to be for 9 years and over).

Here is my youngest doing his first ever competitive round a couple of months ago

Hope that helps to get you started

Hi. as said before, you have to belong to a club and you have to register your dog if not already registered with the Kennel Club. If you don't have papers for your dog you can register on the working dogs register.
Good luck. Hope you get started--it's such great fun.
