Can anyone recommend a decent dog bed for a Great Dane. I am struggling to find a bed that is big enough for her that is also cosy and comfy. Does anyone know of somewhere to get one that is also reasonably priced?

Thanks in advance

How about using a single bed mattress pad (e.g. IKEA ones). If you have space for a 6'x3' bed. Then put a cover over it so you can keep it clean.

How about a duvet?

We use them for our lurchers. Cover it with a duvet cover and then can wash it or replace it as needed. They snuggle right up in them!

some friends of ours have these for their wolfies but we used two giant sized, cheap synthetic quilts folded in 4 and produced this...

though he chose to usually sleep half on half off when too hot!

I definitely wouldn't pay the prices that are charged for beds now (have done in the past though), I would use an old duvet and duvet cover that you no longer use. If you have an old single duvet folded in half, that should make a big soft bed.

Mattress.

Or, a 'bed in a bag' mine started off as a queen sized mattress sized bag of foam pieces. Dogs love it, although after several 'parties' it is now 3 individual beds!

We had two great danes and one of them had a big plastic bed from pets at home with a dog cushion in the bottom (she used to chew everything so we bought her the cheapest beds we could find!) and the other claimed the old sofa chair!! we now have two great-dane x husky's and they have an old matress, but they often sleep on the floor
