I am looking for a new bed for my old arthritic weimeraner, has anyone got any recommendations? The only criteria I have is that its large, or XL and that the cover is removable and machine washable.

Tuffies it's the only bed our Spaniel hasn't chewed to pieces, we have the wicking cover on it which is fab... well worth the money.

Look for bobbydogs on Facebook, she makes them to measure and will basically do whatever you need, affordable too, she'll find material you want and colour too!

I use a dog mattress that has a sealed tough plastic cover that you can hose if you need to,you can get them in a variety of sizes. On top I put a vet bed that is easy to wash and dry. I find this combination works well.

Pets at home currently have memory foam beds at a very reasonable price says recommended for older or arthritic dogs. My medium one which is big was £30 so cant see the XL being much more. The whole cover zips on & off to wash easily & its a lovely warm fleecey material.
