Looking for a new dog bed. Anyone got any recomendations for lab size beds yhat wont break the bank? They already have a large memory foam one but one of the lab girls prefers a softer bed.

Had a variety over the years, usually end up with a Zooplus one with the cushion round the outside. For softness, you might want to add layers like in this pic. We have tiles in the lounge so wanted to ensure they wouldn’t feel the cold seeping through the bed. We added a piece of memory foam on top, vet blanket underneath.

I want to replace the current bed, these two don’t snuggle together so we don’t need a massive bed like this and it does dominate!

We dont do pricy ones anymore as no amount of washing gets them properly clean. Ie the smell of dog returns quickly!

We’ve had every style going. Current overnight beds are either a cat bed or basket shape with a thick pad in for the pug & a raised bed with a mat on for our gsd. The raised bed with mat is holding up very well, quite impressed.

We used to look after our daughter's Irish terrier and we bought her the same dog bed she used at home

Something ike the classic slumber bed. It has a padded cushion that fits in it, but being a terrier she digs under that cushion. I never saw her sleep in that bed at our house where she prefers to curl up on the floor boards beside a radiator. But she does regard the dog bed as her territory and keeps all her chewed toys and chewy treats there.
We also bought one of their rugs to protect our white sofa cover, but she used to bury under it and in the end we used a washable flanelette sheet to cover the sofa.

Doughnut beds for the terriers, I bought some Silentnight ones which were cheap but they’re huge. Our old terrier had a plastic bed with a mountain of blankets and cushions in, it’s taken me two months after him going for it to be shipped out.
