Playing with dogs on my lunch hour and Lil accidently caught my hand, she didn't draw blood, not a mark on it now, but I am in some serious pain.

I'm not the type to whine over nothing, but it really feels bad, shooting pains through the middle of my hand up into my fingers. Just want to close it.

What do you think she has done? Banged a nerve maybe?

Kitz aka, captain hook :p

Ouch - poor you :(
sounds like a nerve. If it was across the back of your hand, does it look like it is over a vein? If so, this will cause a lot of pain and a pins and needles type feeling so I shouldn't worry too much if it lessons in a few hours.

Might have an impressive bruise there tomorrow though! Naughty Lil :o

Try putting ice on it - I'm guessing hands are like necks (bear with me here) in that everything (nerves, tendons etc) is very close together, so it doesn't take much swelling to cause a problem:confused:

Put it this way, I don't think an ice pack will do any harm and it might do some good...

Love from, a totally unqualified medical person who would putting an ice pack on if she were in that position herself:D

Good old Dex has caught me a few times by accident and it takes my various appendages a while to recover. Man it huts!! Then again he has got a head like a bucket and a mouth to match...bless him.
See how it feels tomorrow.

I am fairly certain you will survive and am almost positive you will not lose the hand. Although I am by no means an expert in these matters!! :D

Well, the hand is recovered. Did consider putting it in a sling, for dramatic purposes. But the pain wore off within about 3 hrs.

Killer attack Jack!!!
