Watching this with interest. I have a saluki x Afghan and life is miserable for all of us currently as he's perpetually covered in mud :-(

I bought one a couple of months ago after loads of people recommending them on a GSD group. It certainly makes cleaning up my 2 GSDs a lot easier, and also gets rid of a lot of the loose hair that manifests as tumbleweed all round the house. It is a slight challenge persuading the girls it isn't a snake that they have to kill. This is the model I have.

I've got the challengeaire 2000k .its over thirteen years old and still going strong. It's not heated,has 2 speeds and would be fantastic for a gsd. I do remember the first time I used it I actually blew two pictures off the wall,lol ..what a powerful drier it is.

I have this one - I'd be equally happy having this in my salon for full time work as I am with justifying the price for using it at home on my own dogs

If he's got the Afghan coat be careful blasting it - the infamous HHO 'wind plaits' could result!

Will be watching this with interest as I seem to spend most of my evenings with a brush in my hand and even the most badass groomer I know refused to blast him for me

I'm pleasantly surprised at the price of these. I've never even searched for proper dryers before as I always expected them to be 200 quid minimum.

What I really want for Christmas though is a doggie wet room extension on my house, complete with warm water hosing and magical drying function. Hmmm in my dreams ha ha.

I got something like last Christmas Deb. Well, maybe not a wet room, but I did get a humungous Belfast sink that's big enough to wash all three of my dogs at once if I choose. Not that I would, mind LOL

Really good stand dryers will usually run about £300 to £400, but blasters aren't too bad. I was surprised to see the Aeolos so cheap, I paid over £100 for mine, and thought that was good buy at that time.
