Ok well my spirnger has a graze on his paw about the size of a 50p piece. It has been growing and getting very sore as he will not leave it alone. Tried bandaging and he just ripped it off, tried bandaging with a cone and he still managed to get to it. So now I have managed to get a dog boot and keep it on him with a little help with some bandaging tape. I just don't know how long to leave it on. As soon as his paw is exposed he is obsessed and I have to pin him down to re-cover it. I am just wondering how long I should leave it on so it can heal enough that he won't want to start at it again?

How long has it been on so far? I would give it another couple of days, at least.

Is he kept/does he spend time on concrete? Pup at my club has two grazes on his back paws from pirouetting on the surface of his run, owners have been told to put sawdust down to help prevent it.

Its been on since saturday but he is now licking his paw at the top of the boot which is now becomeing sore also!!!!!

All over body suit. It's the only way.
