Ive been looking for a dog bowl that I wont have to bend down for but that is at a suitable height for a cocker spaniel. Seen just the thing with a long handle but its been discontinued. Seen another adjustable one on Argos but the floor stand seems to take up a lot of room. Anyone any ideas ?
Going in for my very scary op in about 10 days and am sorting out things so I dont have to bend or stretch! Bought one of those litter picker type handles thingys and just tipped a load of biscuits all over the floor.

I'm a great fan of neodymium magnets. I'd go for fixing a strong magnet to the dog's bowl and a stronger magnet to the end of a piece of broom handle... Got to get the polarity right, though.

I cut the bottom off a old plastic waste paper bin, turned it upside down and a bowl with a lip fitted perfectly. I placed it on carpet tile so it didn’t move. My dog was a spaniel so it was the perfect height.

The long handled dustpan is a brilliant idea, or the scoop bit of a horse poo picker! I think that might be the answer.

the stainless steel from argos I looked at but the way the legs are on the stand put me off,

Quizzie, thats ingenious, but would depend on finding bowls the exact size.

The waste paper bin is good too

I knew you clever people would come up with something Thanks

keith, that sound bit too scientific for me !

Amazon has a good variety of dog bowl stands. Also Pets at Home.

Hope all goes well with your op. Will be thinking of you. x
