It is time for Pen to order her gundog coat. She is a pocket sized labrador, much smaller than our other two who both wear a 60cm coat, even allowing for the fact she is not yet a year old.

So, do I order another one the same size (they only come in one colour, and I can just tell after a days shooting that I will try to strangle Brandy with a too small coat if I cannot tell them apart).
Or do I order the standard dog coat instead? Will it be too hot? She does actually manage a double coat, which is more than can be said for Tawny.

I really like Lansdown, excellent service and nice coats.

Get the coat you like, _in a size that fits for heavens sake_ and then have the names embroidered on? Plenty of places will do it for not terribly much on your own garments (I used a scouts-oriented one to do a coat once - cheaper than the horsey places back then).

Don't equafleece have legs? I always thought they would be too hard to put on. The Lansdowne I just pull over their heads and roughly do the surcingle up.

They have all sorts, have a look.
They do normal coats that do up at the front and round the belly, ones which pull over the head and do up round the belly, both without legs.
We only decided to go with the tankie's as one of ours has a habit of chewing off clips, buckles.

I love Equafleece Clodagh, they are so lightweight. They warm a wet cold dog but never overheat them. So many styles, the sizing is forgiving and there are lots of colours. Also if you ring up they will advise.

Thank you. :-)
I have actually ordered a Lansdown in the end, I rang them and they said the standard coats are no warmer than the gundog ones, so Pen has a red poloneck coming! Oo er!
They wear them coming home in the pick up, so a bit of warmth is a good thing.
