Okay maybe im a bit barmy but Im thinking of getting one for my collie he is only 6 but gets a tiny bit stiff on one of his legs so im thinking of a waterproof one for walks- have I lost it buying him one then!
Ive just bought my two weimaraners a coat each for when it is wet or cold. It saves them getting wet through and limits the dirt they bring into the house.
dog coats are fab. My 3 dobes have one each.. I buy the equifleece ones as the dont slip when they are running about and keep them warm and dry and when we go out in the rain and coat gets went it drys really quick too. They arent the cheapest but i like them the best.. I do have a cheaper waxed one for my pup just now and its quite good tho. nothing worse than a wet cold dog.. lol
Ditto, my bulldog has the equifleece jumpers as they are the only coats I can find to stretch over his head and shoulders. He is definitely a wimp and hates the rain / cold so he always wears them and they wash really well.
my boys have weatherbeetas.they love em'. they also have hotter dog jumpers. they look very smext in those hehe ans dry them much faster than there old thermaluxes. hey i'm a softie, and u don't get the smelly wet dog smell hehe
mac the lab has a hip replacement so he must be kept warm
and ronnie is a swamp monkey and does forward roles and gets soaked hehe
I've just ordered one for my lurcher - he is about 10 years old now, and is also stiff on his back end, so although he has never had one before I think the time is right for him now
I get Blizzard coats from www.grwe.com, as they are designed for greyhounds/whippets/lurchers
