My Gordon Setter has loads of lumps on her but she is an old dog and I dont want to put her through biopsies and having them taken off as there are so many. Vet seems to think some are cysts and this week two have erupted and blood and fluid come out leaving a deep hole. Any one else had
a dog with anything like this. She does have anti inflammatories but her skin doesnt seem to heal

Have you asked your vet to check her liver functions - a simple blood test would do it. Sometimes liver problems show up as lumps that erupt (like little volcanoes).

My old dog is covered in lumps and bumps too, bless the oldies!

These sound like sebaceous cysts, nothing to worry about. Very common in dogs, and although can occur at any age seem to appear in older dogs more. I have groomed lots of dogs with these and they shouldn't cause a problem. They can be removed but as fast as they are taken away new ones seem to appear. Resist the urge to squeeze as this can lead to infections..
