Dog cruelty at Badminton?

I hate crowds - I'm short and seem to disappear in crowd situations; spaces open up for my OH and then close up again as I try to get through. I was getting really stressy at the start of XC when we seemed to be trying to go against the flow near the start. I dread to think what it was like for any dogs in that situation.

Once the XC had started and the crows spread out round the course it was much better - I see no problem for dogs then (as long as owners rest and water them and find shade)
I think dogs at Badminton are ok - as long as the owners accept that they will have to keep out of the crowds (for the sake of the dog) and they MUST be under control.

Oh - and I'm so-so about dogs, I don't have one myself so an unbiased opinion.

not read the rest but can guess.

My dog went to badders all 4 days and absolutley loved it.
Avoided shop area on cc day, and took him back to the caravan for the show jumping and regularlly gave him water , he loved every minuite.
He does not mind crowds, is friendly, he loves other dogs, and ignores horses doggy heaven

now who here is saying he should have stayed at home!

Thankyou to all the shops that put out doggy water was much apreciated by little bob ( incase anyone saw him one of the only scottish terriers at the event and the only one wearing a smart red bandana )
