One huge hiccup here. Bikes are the most unstable and dangerous machines, and to intentionally put oneself at risk, by driving AT an object as large as a grown GSD, would be suicidal.
I'm sorry, but I would very much doubt that it was intentional, an appalling accident, maybe, but that would be the limit of the bike riders responsibility.
The bike was stolen the night before and had been reported stolen to the police at the time of the theft.
The chances of catching this idiot are slim I would think.
RIP Zena
Evil git. He should give way to walkers on an off road path. It sounds quite deliberate to me - even if it was a bit suicidal. Why didn't he stop if it was an accident?
I meet a lot of off-road bikers on the tracks where i ride and walk and they are always so polite. They will often even turn off their engines and remove their helmets if they see my horse being a bit nervous.
I hope this one individual gets his comeuppance - and he probably will doing evil stunts like that.
I have heard a wonderful rumour that this bloke has been tracked down and got what he deserved before being handed over to police. Doing something like this in the vicinity of a number of animal loving squaddies was a BIG mistake. Hopefully will be confirmed in national news tomorrow.
Poor poor dog, and how awful for the owner. If it was done intentionally then I really hope what you have heard is true BC - and that the maximum penalties are enforced.
