That doesn’t smell synthetically sweet and sickly?

I rarely ever bath my dogs. There is some emergency shampoo in the bathroom cupboard and I’ve just used it as darling Cecil has rolled in something unbearably smelly out walking.
It’s disgusting and a bath didn’t really get rid of the smell dispite a good shampooing and hot water. He now stinks of mild poo and awful baby powder scent (stench) 🤢

What’s decent at getting rid of bad smells thoroughly and doesn’t make the dog smell sickly sweet?
Obviously need to be skin kind but as above I don’t use it often so the smell eradication is my main request!

Washing up liquid.
I wouldn’t use on sensitive skins but for getting g rid of fox/badger/human poo it is the best.
We call it dog dissolver!
But yes, we use un-perfumed, suitable for sensitive human skin washing up liquid. It never has actually dissolved a dog but it's pretty good at getting rid of the foul smell.

If mine was liberally coated in it she would get hosed down while still wet. If a lesser amount I use an odour neutralising grooming spray and brush it well in The one I use is Beaphar. Doesn't always completely get rid of smell straightaway so I sometimes have to redo it. However it is a lot easier than washing her. Deals with badger smell pretty well, haven't had to deal with fox for a while so can't comment.

We have a hot shower outside for horses/ dirty dogs which has its work cut out in the winter.
This time I didn’t even notice! There was nothing visible on him. I’d walked them quickly before going out. Chucked them back in the house and got home a few hours later, sat down with a drink and Cec jumped up onto my lap… that’s when I found out 🤢

What do those kittens make of it?!

Fox poo shampoo was the only thing that got the smell of slurry out of our golden retriever after I walked her in the dark and didn't spot slurry in the field till too late. Not a footpath field before you worry the farmer was being mean just one I have permission to use.

I tried about three washes of other stuff first!
