Our little Yorkie, who never quite accepted that he was knee high to a grass hopper, died yesterday at 15, only a few weeks shy of his 16th birthday.
I feel very sad he is gone, but also glad he is not old and hurting any more.

I remember my mother bringing him home so clearly it may as well be yesterday.
He was a wonderful ratter, loyal friend bane of my mothers evil cats life, RIP Dougal :(

Lord I looked bad :o But i was only 13 :p

Thankyou all for your kind words ladies :)
He stayed to live with my mother when I moved north, so have been feeling very guilty about the last few months of his life.
My mother has been hanging onto him when,IMO, he should have been PTS a while ago.
Lost bladder control in September and I would have let him go then.
Mother did not want to do it/could not face doing it but had no objection to me taking him but she lives in Hampshire so was not really able to drop everything and take him to the vets :(

So sorry. He might have been small but had a huge character by the sound of it.

LOL, yes he was- typical terrier :p
He most awefull habbit was licking INSIDE your nose when he got over excited- YUK :D
Still, it has confirmed that we shall be getting a dog in the near future, I had not realised just how many memories were tied up in that little lead untill I got the news- I really want my sont o have had that connection with an animal while he is a child.

I'm so sorry for your loss :( ((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) to you and your mum. It sounds like he had a great life with you.
Terriers are fab arn't they hold onto your happy memorys he'd want to be remembered like that.

RIP Dougal, Run free and know you are truly loved. xx
