Just thinking about forthcoming winter walks :( does anyone have an recommendations on best way to get a fairly fluffy dog dry ASAP after a wet walk? I've got a thermatex but wondered if there is something out there that was better/dried off their tummy and even legs too? Or is it just a case of lots of towels being the best method....?

I bought these but I reckon you could make them with old towels and some Velcro for pennies then you could have them wrapping over to make them like snuggy rugs.

Equafleece the full body suit ....... We have 4 working springer spaniels and when they come back from working, just chuck their jammies on (which they cry when they see them as they love wearing them so much), and give them a couple of hours and they are dry and fluffy again.

We have one girl who gets seriously stiff after working or swimming etc if she doesn't have the fleece on afterwards, put the fleece on and she is a different dog - I cannot recommend them enough

my dogs love the heat lamp and my oldies are no where near as stiff when it is set up. builders coming saturday to put kennel up and sparks later in the week for electric then the dogs get to sit under a heat lamp till they are warm/dry and less stinky before they come in-never thought i would like mine using a kennel but we have all really missed it since we moved

I bought an equafleece last year but it was too small, have just got one in the right size. Hope to use it to keep the worst of the mud/ wet off him.

Yesterday I was inspired by the doggy dressing gown and managed to make 4 robes from 2 old bath towels with a wrap under tummy wrap velcroed together. I am very pleased but have not tried it out yet. Even considering making him a duvet jacket from an old duvet with my new found skills :) .

Out of interest what do people do with the dog after the walk? If we are out all day walking I normally wrap him up and put him in the car if we're having a lunch in a non dog friendly pub but am concerned about wrapping a wet dog up too much as I don't want to keep him damp. Hoping between the equafleece , new towel robe and cooltex rug I can get him dry and warm quickly

Equafleece all the way. They are somewhat water resistant so I put them on the hairless skinny dog pre walk to keep him warm/dry but they both wear them to dry out. If they're wet and dirty I just put jumpers on over the top make sure I take them off before we go into the house and a lot of the dirt comes off.
