Got one dog with diarrhoea today (weekend aqain isnt it) came in pool of poo on the hall floor, so whilst I am cleaning this up other dog has taken a small wholemeal loaf from my bag and scoffed the lot. Panicking now about bloat etc,. This blasted Clumber is more trouble than he's worth Im beginning to think. Trying to get through to emergency vet but phone engaged. A worrying time ahead methinks

I hope all is o.k. My poodle has eaten numerous loaves and anything else I forget to hide over the years with no ill effects. He does have a dickie stomach too and about twice a year gets severe colitis, I have never identified the trigger (but it isn't the bread or anything else in the house). I've spent several hundred pounds on steroids and rice diets when it happens, I now just reach for the kaolin and morphine, two 10ml doses usually has him sorted.

I suppose I should be grateful he left me the cheesecake ! He seems OK, I look forward to mountains of poo tomorrow.
Spoke to emergency vet who seemed not too worried, just as well at £136 if I went over to the surgery plus any treatment
Still might end up there with my runny poo pooch (ah so that's where the word pooch comes from !)

Well he was fine, but I ended up at the vets anyway with pooing dog, who started to vomit at about 2 am ! £178 - thanks a lot

He got two injections, one for each end ! He is very quiet today doesn't want to do anything except lay on the chair. Both ends not erupting. Emergency vet could do with being a bit nearer too!
Was worried his pancreatitis had flared up, last time he ended up in dogspital on a drip. Got a visit to my own vet for clumber disc follow up tomorrow so may cart littlie along as well if hes the same.
