Just read an article about royal canines dog food .article says there meat is 3rd grade and not suitable for humans mainly corn etc.i was wondering what quality wainwrights is as I feed this to my staffy.forgot to add there is no muscle meat in canins dog food.

If you look on whichdogfood.co.uk it will give you all the ingredients for different makes of dog food, together with an "expert rating" of number of stars out of 5. The site is done by a man who has worked in all areas of the dog food industry, and who thinks that some of the manufacturers are taking the mick a bit.....

Mine didn't do so well on either Wainwrights or RC - the big lad likes Skinners which is really good quality and a really reasonable price. Little lad is coeliac and is now on Nutrix Gluten Free. Skinners is about £15 a bag cheaper than wainwrights, I think it's good stuff!

I would recommend Orijen . Although its fairly expensive per bag , because of the amazing ingredients you don't have to feed so much. I have two 30kg Boxers and am feeding them 300 gram a day each. Since going to this grain and cereal free dog food they are less smelly. Smaller stools as more food is being digested, and they have amazing coats. The ingredient list is the best you can possibly get for a dog. Because you feed so much less to your dogs than other foods on the market it works out to be cheaper than most as well.
