Hi All,
(also in Dog forum)
I wonder if anyone can help, I would never normally put up a posting like this but my sister recently moved to Syresham (near silverstone) in Buckinghamshire. She moved from a very rural location and her young girl Luna is just miserable where she is now. My sister is looking to rehome her.

She is an incredible family dog, she has been raised as a family pet on a small holding and is used to and fine with other dogs, children, cats (there were 11!), chickens/ducks, goats, and horses.

She is loving and obedient and a complete softie, she is a lurcher with setter in there somewhere!

She is not at all happy with her change in circumstances, and is looking for a loving home with people who have time for her, preferably in a rural location. she is about 4 (maybe 5-I can't remember). It is the home that is important and subject to the right people and home, she is free.

Please, no judgemental comments, this is not my dog, and I have my own views but they are not important, what is is finding somewhere fantastic for Luna. PM me if you want more information or could give her a home. I would, but already have 4, we can't take on another :( or I would in a heart beat.

Does she need an active home where she can come and go in a and out of the house/roam the yard/garden on her own? Or, is it likely that she would be okay with two walks a day and mooching about the house the rest of the time?

Hi Mrs M, either would suit, as long as she had 2 good walks :) she does love being let out into the garden and having a good old mooch and sunbathe, and this is how she was at the small holding, but she also spent 6 months in a setting where she was in while my sister and her children were out at work and school, and she was quite content with a couple of good walks and a load of fuss. It is breaking my heart :( I would really take her on if I could, I really hate the fact that this fantastic dog will be parted from 2 doting children that love her to pieces. :( :(

I'll put it to the family :)

This might be a daft question, but do you thinks she would do agility?

Yes, in a heartbeat, she is so eager to learn, the kids taught her to hi five! :D she is very obedient and I think she would absolutely love something like that :)

OOhhhhh go on MrsM......you KNOW it makes sense!!!

I'm working on it :D

It means me not having another big dog yet, but that probably makes sense anyway :D. D2 doesn't come on here, so she won't see what I'm thinking, but I know she would love a dog such as this to walk for miles with and just be with. Her wee dog is lovely, but happier to snooze in the sun that go play jump the pole (unless treats are involved and she only has to do it once lol).

I have pm'd QB :D. We might not be to the lass's taste, so will wait and see what QB thinks :D

Just have to explain it to D now... :D

Hope it works out!! my little staffie does a Hi 5... he has quickly worked out that that, plus an appealing face that can rival Cat from Shrek (you know, the big eyes) means a lot of sneaky treats from the weaker hearted than me!

Please Mrs M let us know if you are able to re-home her (you always sound so nice in your posts!). I'd just adore her but know OH would say no & another would probably upset my girl.
