Looking for somewhere to stop over on the way to and from badminton ( coming from yorkshire) that is dog friendly and isn't overly expensive. It doesn't have to be right on the doorstep just closer than home. Any recommendations?

I thjnk you will find it hard to find anywhere. Most local places will be prebooked already and know that they can charge through the nose for it. You may find a dog friendly b&b further up country but to be fair its kinder and safer for all to leave the dog at home or put it in kennels. However try googling pet b&bs in gloucestershire, worcestershire and surrounding counties.

You'd probably find something further away. Google dog friendly accommodation? We drive up and down in a day from W Yorks. We take our dogs, planning the day around them and avoiding the huge crowds. They love it.

The Thames Head Inn is only 20mins away. Call now though because I remember we used to get crazy busy over Badminton weekend. If you say Robyn recommended you call they should be able to squeeze you in.

Would be much easier to not take your dog. Badminton is such a busy event, dogs just get in the way and get their feet stood on in the shopping area and on the xc course. I'm surprised they still allow dogs.

Leave your dog at home or with a suitable friend. Dogs at Badmington drive me nuts! Why do you need to take them!!!!

I took my dog to Badminton and he loved it! I took him with me because none of my friends are able to handle him as he is too big and he isn't suitable for kennels. As long as the dogs are well behaved then its not a problem.
