Dog friendly cottages scotland

Having just booked our October holiday (plus dog) I can tell you that after extensive research these are some good sites to go for. Have fun, there are so many dog friendly places in Scotland to choose from.

(just set the "pets" filter before searching)

(But I wouldn't check out this last site unless a) you're feeling flush, and b) your dog won't shed, chew, rub on things, or generally dog all over any of these frighteningly gorgeous and expensive cottages)

Working GSD on here has the most awesome cottage I have ever seen, no idea where it is in Scotland, but it looks stunning.

Thanks Clodagh :)

What kind of holiday are you looking for? I own a dog friendly (dogs go free) in Glen Etive near Glencoe. It is a brilliant area for walking - with a number of Munros direct from the door as well as lower level river and forest walks nearby. Thankfully for me, it is a very popular cottage and so I only have eleven days left free for the whole of this year (in December).

If you might be interested, the link is here (and there is also a FB page).

There is also Carmichael Cottages near Lanark. A good selection of cottages on the Carmichael Estate I've about 5 times to 2 different cottages and it's been a good holiday. Some of the cottages are a bit off the beaten track as it's a big estate but you can also get them near the main roads.

Also a really nice cafe at the visitors centre

Thanks Clodagh :)

Wow I will be saving the details of this one for sure - a lovely area to holiday in :)

Try the Dogs Trust. They do holiday cottages and a % of the fee goes to them so well worth while. I've been to a couple of their places and both were dog friendly and great
