Dog friendly hotels?

Can anyone recommend a dog friendly hotel somewhere in the Midlands?

It's for some work colleagues to meet for a 2 day meeting, there are 6 of us, we need single rooms, a meeting room or lounge area, ideally close to a train station, with some nice walks nearby.

I have found loads on the net but it would be nice to have a personal recommendation

Not sure in particular but Travel lodges and the forestdale group (used to work for them) allow pets also a good site is hotel shop!!

Travelodge allow pets for a supplement of £10 per pet.

Thanks for replies so far - looing for something a bit more up-market, with a bar / restauraunt etc (well it will be on expenses after all
