I have yet to find a single cafe that you can take a dog inside. There are two lovely ones in Whitby which we go to regularly so pup is well cafe trained! :D

Anyone know of anywhere as this is my first winter with a dog and it would be nice to be able to grab a coffee and something to eat without loosing any extremities to frostbite!

I'd carry on to Filey instead, much more dog friendly in general :). I think a few of the pubs allow dogs in and the cafe in the park next to the golf club (near the big visitor car park) did last time we were there too.

Unfortunately has to be Scarborough as this is where my 82 year old great aunt likes to visit and wont go anywhere else and at that age cant really make her :D

Damn! We've only found places with tables to sit outside at in Scarborough, and I can see why you don't want that with your great aunt. Look out for the over zealous anti dog beach patrols too while you're there too...

If you could persuade her to try somewhere different Bridlington might be easier for her to get around as the town centre is pretty flat and also at the same level as the sea front, with the lovely promenade for a walk along the front.
