Took my cocker spaniel to groomers for the first time, they had been recommended. Really disappointed that he has barely touched her ears.
Taken a couple of knots out underneath but not taken anything off otherwise. Is this how cocker spaniels are groomed, do they usually leave the hair long on the ears ?

Thanks Amymay, they are certainly long and luxurious, and usually in her dinner !

I tend to ask my customers what they want doing with ears on spaniels and 90% of them ask for them to be trimmed as short as possible to keep them out of food/mud etc
Next time, ask your groomer to go shorter and explain the problem with her ears going in her dinner. Most will happily accommodate your requests.
