I’m currently in full time employment (office) but am thinking about taking up a dog grooming course to gain professional qualification. But I’m looking for the impossible, are there any options / courses I could do that would fit around my full time employment as I currently have no intention of giving up my current job.
I currently have 5 spaniels so want to do them myself and potentially in the future friends dogs in my spare time.
Any information would be much appreciated.

Is there a college near you that does day courses? Have you spoken to local groomers who may run courses, or allow you to learn on the job with them/help at weekends?

Thank you Amymay
I did a day at a groomers with my cocker spaniel over a month ago which was great. There are collages that do intro / taster days which would probably cover what I did at the groomers, but from my limited search most courses leading to qualifications wouldn’t allow me to continue full time employment.

Off the top of my head, I know there are colleges that do one day a week courses, but I think they're fairly few and far between. Most of the courses that do qualifications are six week full time courses. Those will usually get you like a C&G Level II (or equivalent) which is not a full qualification, but usually puts you on the road to qualification should you wish to obtain one. Some tutors can customise their courses for you, but that really depends on how busy they are and what sort of class environment they have.
