Dog guard and gate costs

Thinking about getting a boot gate and dog guard made for my car, has anyone done this and how much was it?

I have a local smith to call who made one for my friend, she said it cost her around £100 but that was a few years ago. Not sure how much it might be now. Would just like to get an idea.

Depends what vehicle you have! Some are obv bigger than others, but it also depends on how popular the vehicle is too. Some of the bigger producers have 'off the shelf' ready-made tailgates and dog guards for the more popular ones. However, if you have a vehicle that is new to the market and you are the first customer, then they have to do a taylor made job for you.

Have used them for three vehicles now and they've done a first class job each time.

Try ebay or some of the dog websites if you have a popular vehicle as you often find people trying to sell their old gates/guards when they've changed their car.

From memory I think I paid about £300 last year, but that included side bits to the dog guard as I have sliding side doors and wanted to be able to leave those open when parked up.
