Further to Henry's horrendous vet bill as in my post about Woolly's PM's, who would you recommend for insuring a springer/cocker x? Even if his back (or the relevant vertebrae thingies) is excluded, we don't want to face another vet bill like that if we can possibly help it.

I am assuming that E&L have the same reputation when it comes to dogs that they do for horses?
 
More Than or Petplan. I have 2 dogs, one on each of these policies and they pay out without a problem. It would be worth comparing quotes and cover as your choice may come down to your individual requirements and companies differ on specifics of the cover and costs. But either of these are good imho.
 
We have always used direct line. They paid out over £5000 for our old boxer over 4 claims ( all at the same time

) and they never once asked any questions. They pay quickly too.
 
im with halifax...claimed several times and one of my whippets had a spinal injury last year which included having a mri scan and sent to a specialist...always paid up quickly
