doesnt bother him at all, and he runs around quite happily. He is nearly 13. We have been giving him Mark and Chappell arthriteum as it says on the packet its good for bone growth and joints. weather they do him any good or not is another matter, but dont want to risk taking him off them!

Just wondering are there any others there on the market?

My 2 year old staffie was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia earlier this year (gutted), he was operated on but it's quite severe, he is on 1/2 tablet daily of Previcox (more for pain relief though). I give him the doggy cortaflex, he is doing really well at the moment. There is something similar to cortaflex that the vets prescribe - Synoquin (sp) or something like that that a lot of people swear by for arthritic problems.

My dog was prescribed synoquin following an accident as he will now be prone to early arthritus.

He is now on a daily glucosamine, chondontrin, msm supplement. I have also changed his dry food which is rich in omega 3 and contains glucosamine.
