Dog lovers, avoid this company

lets hope it wasn't a disgruntled member of their staff that is getting their business into trouble... afraid emails are far to easy to doctor these days.

This info has been around long enough for the company to release a press statement and/or have one on their website, to explain their point of view and if this was a disgruntled member of staff or not, there's nothing. As a company. you'd want to clear this up asap not ignore it.

I know its not horsey but a lot of horsey types have dogs so try putting it on FB page called Horse Community Scams uncovered/ conmen exposed! Name and shame there I guess.

Not necessarily - 28th July was only a couple of weeks ago and there could be ongoing investigations if allegations have been made about a staff member - it could be that the emails are fabricated, its very easy to alter an email and plaster it all over the internet and they might not be aware of it, or may be choosing to ignore it in the hope it just does the rounds and disappears.

In any case I would be very wary of sharing this around facebook with no proof that the company have done anything wrong - I would instead fire an email off to Sight Hounds for Life asking if they can confirm that this actually happened - as its not very professional of them to go posting an email around the internet regardless of the content where they are trying to appear to be a professional charity organisation - I would imagine the correct process would be to make a complaint to the company directly and allow them to carry out their own internal investigation rather than posting it all over facebook. If it gets ignored then they should report it to Trading Standards who can advise them accordingly and people should inundate the company with complaint emails to point out their displeasure that nothing is being done - for all we know it could have been a disgruntled employee who did it

And by posting it around Facebook people are also giving them free publicity

ETA - they apparantly did release a statement which is shown on the Sight Hounds for Life Facebook page

"WE HAVE RECENTLY MANY E-MAILS ASKING US ABOUT A SUPPOSED REPLY TO A CHARITY. WE AT SHAMBALLA JEWELS UK ARE UNAWARE OF ANY DEROGATORY COMMENTS OF ANY KIND. WE RECEIVE MANY REQUEST FOR DONATIONS EACH WEEK AND SUPPORT GENUINE CAUSES WHEN POSSIBLE.

WE HAVE RECENTLY RECEIVED THREATENING EMAILS FROM SOME CHARITIES STATING IF WE DO NOT DONATE THEN THEY WILL TARNISH OUR REPUTATION; WE DO NOT BELEIVE THESE ARE FROM GENUINE CHARITIES BUT FROM CRIMINAL GANGS. WE TEND TO IGNORE THESE; WE FEEL THIS TROUBLE HAS BEEN CAUSED BY SUCH A GANG.

WE HAVE RECEIVED MANY EMAILS FROM CONCERNED CITIZENS - WE WOULD LIKE TO ASSURE WE HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH ANY CHARITY OR CRIMINAL GANG AND ARE LOOKING TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS DREADFULL SITUATION.

IN THE MEAN TIME PLEASE BARE WITH US AND AS A GESTURE OF GOODWILL WE WILL OFFER 10% OF ALL SALES FOR THE NEXT WEEK IF YOU PURCHASE DIRECTLY VIA THIS LINK . DONATIONS WILL GO TO THE LOCAL RSPCA."
