He has had x-rays and a scan. Nothing conclusive but they did see something on his lung. They don't know what it is and have suggested either sending the scans/x-rays away for an expert opinion or taking him to Leahurst for better scans.
He doesn't have a temperature and so the vet seems to think it isn't an infection but doesn't have any suggestions for what else it could be and what treatment would be possible. My feeling is that given his past history of skin tumours and his age (13) the likelihood is that it is a tumour.
So we are in bit of no-mans land and not sure what to do now.
My mum is going to pick him up later and have more of a talk with the vet. I think she wants to know how long it would take for the scans to be assessed and how invasive it would be to go to Leahurst. My mum doesn't want to put him through any invasive or distressing tests, especially if the diagnosis of whatever it is is just going to be the same!
Any suggestions?
