Can anyone tell me why two dogs, same weight, fed same amounts and diet do totally differing amounts of poo!
Corgie cross two small dog size poos a day, small cocker spaniel two massive labrador size ones ! Neither drink copious amounts of water, spaniel more active than corgi cross.

Fascinating isn’t it but I’ve no idea what the answer is!!

Willow dog does poos that an elephant would be proud of, she’s quite embarrassing. She is very prone to runny tummy though so I don’t think she digests her food very well at all.

On the other hand, Rufus has the constitution of a dustbin and I know if he ever has the runs or is sick then he is proper poorly.

Funny creatures aren’t they :)

The Sprollie does huge poops despite getting less food than the Spaniel and maintaining weight better than the Spaniel too, the dogs themselves are more or less identical in size. I just presumed he inherited his dad's large collie sized gut! 😂

I don't know where the Spaniel puts all his. Clearly digests a lot but then burns it all off RUNNING!!! The Sprollie mooches. The Spaniel RUNS!!!

Very interesting chart 😉
Not sure how relevant it is though as it's for humans.
It was recommended to me by Eden Petfoods, they suggested I use the scale to monitor Peril's poo when changing her to a grain free diet, she is a 3 on the scale, they must think it is relevant. 💩[/QUOTE]
