Just one of those would love to understand how her brain works type of questions. Poodle cross Labrador, mainly poodle. She seems to be equally happy to spend time with me or my partner. But I always find it interesting that if he comes home she goes nuts barking when he's outside the door (definitely her happy excited throw a party bark reserved for favourite visitors). However when I come home not a peep! Very pleased to see me but just totally silent about it. Any guesses on why?

Mitch does this with my OH, I rarely get the noisy welcome (squeaky lunatic) but my OH bends down, makes a big fuss, whereas I tend to ignore while I put down bags, say hello to my OH etc. Some dogs definitely prefer one person, Mitch clearly prefers him!

I find this too. Sometimes one will bark at me but three will bark at absolutely anyone else coming across the garden but not me. They stand at the door wagging instead *smug
