So I may be being a neurotic mother but my 10 month old lab is starting to refuse her meals (very unlike her!)
She started off eating all the meaty bits out of her food and leaving the dry (maybe a week or so ago), now for the last 36 hours she is has picked at her food leaving 90% of it. She is a bit quieter than her normal self. Her food hasn't changed at all, neither has her routine.
I don't know if I should be worried or not...
Any thoughts appreciated
Thanks

if she was just picking but was normal self I would be less worried, but the fact she is quiet is not great, is she peeing and pooing as normal?
has she had a season?
is she a scrounger or likely to eat something she should not?

She is weeing as normal, less poo than normal but I put that down to not eating as much (they are normal when she does do them)
She has had a season (finished about three weeks ago)
She could have eaten something she shouldn't have, but is normally pretty good at not.
Also she has had about 15mins to eat then I am picking it up

has she had any discharge?

personally 3 weeks after a season/unwell/off food and lethargic I would treat as an emergency in case she has pyometra

she may be having a phantom pregnancy which is not an emergency but pyo is very serious

When a Lab refuses to eat, then be very worried. This happened to my Lab and it turned out she had got a hole under her tongue from trying to eat a stick earlier in the day, and we hadn't realised...

That is a worry. I would take her to a vet. My parents 4 year old Golden Retriever lost interest in food and he had cancer. I guess that is worst case scenario but you need to be sure.
