My poor friend got mown down by her batty year old golden retriever! Lexi came barrelling along and couldnt stop and crashed into my friends leg. She was abit stiff that evening but thought she had twisted her knee, I got a phone call at 7am from her sobbing saying she couldnt walk! I whizzed round and took her to A&E after x-rays etc they said it was too swollen to do anything and splinted it up and told her to come back in a week. She went today and she has a fracture in her knee OUCH!!
It just got me thinking, how many injuries do our furry friends cause us?

Hahaha, where do I start?

B has headbutted me several times, once I managed to bite my own tongue.

I broke the end of my finger when it got caught in a link of his brass chain as he whipped his head around to look at a passing cat.

Massive bruise on my thigh where his ball-on-a-rope wrapped around my leg as I was teasing him with it, it whipped back around and he had my leg in his mouth

No broken skin thank goodness and he was going for the ball, not me!

He and his sister pulled me backwards and I fell onto one of the boulders on the yard.

Bella has hit me up the face with her paw a few times

N pulled me into a barbed wire fence trying to get at the goat

I have a small lump on my nose (looks like a stud/piercing) where D whopped me up the face when I was a kid/she was a puppy

Two of our young GSDs ran into my mum when she was walking them in the field, she broke her leg in 2 places

I have had various lumps and bruises where dogs have run into me, and once had a huge lump on my chin where one headbutted me, but so far have escaped more serious injury.

Numerous horsey related injuries. My old terriers sudden refusal to enter his crate, leapt up and broke my nose. I wouldn't mind but my nozzel wasn't the neatest nose to begin with! Anyone got a few spare grand so I can have a nose job? Also, an old whippet dislocated his wrist jumping off the last three steps of the stairs and when my husband corrected it, the poor boy bit my husbands hand and we spent a Bank Holiday in A&E waiting for stiches and down at the vets for a leg to be braced. Happy Days.

since becoming a postie i'v been bitten 6times. i love dogs to and know how to react around them i guess its just a postie thing lol.

PP, going off topic, I read somewhere that dogs are aggressive to posties because they are one of the few visitors to your property who 'leave' when the dogs bark.

Postie arrives...bark bark...postie leaves....Grr, I really showed him! Next day - he came back!!!! The cheek! BARK BARK BARK - phew, I showed him again. Next day - That cheeky git, here he comes again! GRRRRR!'

My old girl was as soft as butter but she still put the postie in the corner once when she was let out before he arrived

B helped put my back out when I was walking him on a harness, the lungey big arse.

My masseuse friend decided the absolute best time to remedy this would be when she was following me downstairs at a house party when we were both quite drunk.
I do think my scream registered on the richter scale......

Beastie headbutted me on my eyebrow the other week. It was bloody sore and you should have heard the noise it made!

She has also accidentally caught my eyelid with her paw.

I know a guy whose choccie lab ran full tilt into him and broke his leg!
