I am in love with whippets again

I saw THE most gorgeous whippet puppy at Hartpury (would post a pic but must ask Maloo's permission first as they are her pics!) and it made me remember how gorgeous they are

But of course I work full time, so no way could I have a puppy...and my family (who dont work) live an hour and a half's drive away...

So I was just wondering how much dog sitters were? I am sure it would be far too expensive, but I have to ask

Puppy would be left with the sitter Mon-Fri whilst I was at work

I can only give you what we pay for a house/horse/dog sitter which is not at all what you are looking for. Might be an idea to put cards in your vets. local feed merchants, tack shops that sort of thing and test the water locally.
Hope you find some one and give another doglet a lovely home.

Ooooh thats a good idea, hadnt thought of actually advertising for someone

Mind you I would then be torn about buying a puppy or getting a rescue, my mind is now so set on "I must have rescues, there are too many unwanted dogs"

But puppies are SOOO sweet

Surely there are puppies out there that need rescuing?! I would love another puppy, am feeling quite broody having seen some pup pics on here recently. Mean OH says no!

As I thought, no way can I afford to fork out nearly £400 per month for dog sitting fees - and who the hell starts work after 10am

Very impractical

Maybe I should just move back to Oxfordshire so the family can puppy sit for me

They come and pick the dog up so you don't have to be in but yes, it would be very expensive every day! They do shorter visits at £8 per time to let the dog out and give it some playtime.
