dog smelling very doggy

I changed my cavalier king charles' dog food a couple of weeks ago due to irritable skin on Bakers complete. I have got her now on James Wellbeloved white fish and rice,and that is all. Her itchiness is subsiding,but now the next problem........she smells!! Not just a little whiff,but really stinks! I don't mean that she has wind,but it seems to coming from her all over! She just smells REALLY doggy! I have bathed her and she was ok for a few hours and then started stinking again. Wherever she sits or lies now smells and I am paranoid that my house is strting to smell....

Is there any tips ppl can give me? ie. special smelling shampoo or freshening spray for her? I am also a little wary of irritating her skin again so perhaps something herbal?

Cavaliers are as a breed extra smelly with their anal glands,never known a breed fill them up so quickly.Any way,solve your problem,lighten your food bill ,and feed her two or three raw chicken wings a day.She`ll have sparkley teeth and hey presto!Empty anal glands. She will not need any other type of food at all ,by the way.

I do agree with EK.

But just another thing if you think it is not her anal glands she could just be detoxing from the bad food. My dogs stank for at least a month when they are first switched to raw when i get them on nasty food.

Try switching to a different flavor or protein source if its not better after a few more weeks.
