There is a gang stealing dogs in the South of England. 5 Ridgebacks were stolen a couple of days ago: 3 bitches taken from Bolney, Sussex ( the cctv pictures were too dark that afternoon to be of help) a male from Lewis, Sussex and another from Burgess Hill.
Please can you be on the look out and maybe ask your local vets to put up a warning poster. Full information on www.AlfiesLostDogs.com

A friend of ours had a jack russell stolen, she then got a phone call to say a man had bought it for his daughter but then seen her missing dog notices. He demanded £750 for the dog as that's what he claimed he had paid for her!!

Another friend had her dog stolen from the garden & received the same call, she visited a local village green which had travellers on it. She enquired about the missing dog & obviously they were very defensive about it & claimed they knew nothing.

The next day she got a call from a member of the public to say that she had just seen my friends dog thrown out of a van in front of her at 60mph!! The dog survived but had many broken bones & spent a week at a specialists vets having had major surgery.

The van fitted the description of one of the travellers vans!!

Both incidents were in the south east
