Dog training in Gloucestershire

A friend of mine has recently got a Bassett Hound puppy, and has just missed the cutoff for puppy classes, so is thinking she would rather spend a bit more and have some one on one training to get basic commands sorted, as the dog is well socialised anyway, just lacking somewhat in obedience!!

Do any of you lovely helpful HHOers know of anyone that provides such a service? She's looking to have an hour or two a week (or more frequently if required) to work on getting the basics!

Depends where you are, but I've used Nikki at Dickson Dog Training to very good effect. She is based in Cheltenham/ Bishops Cleeve / Woodmancote, but is mobile. You can look her up on the net.

Good luck. We had a Bassett Hound as a family dog years ago, he was a great character.
