Help! My male staffy ( neutered) is urinating on his and my other dogs beds. It's not age ( hes 3) or incontinence related. It seems to be a marking his territory type issue but it needs to stop as we are moving to a new house next week and hes on his final warning ( hes a bit of a tear away compared to my staffy and rottie girls).

It doesn't matter if they are new or old beds and happens when hes been out for the loo.

Has he always done this or is it a recent thing? How long has he been castrated? Are the botches spayed? And is it only the beds he does it on?
There are a few reasons he would display this behaviour but the best way to stop it would be to confine him to break the habit. It's hard when it involves the beds as I take it they all sleep together and are left in the same area with the beds.
Separating the dogs could cause undue stress but you could maybe crate him with a flat bed (vet bed) as he will be more likely to scent on a more cushy surface like the beds he is doing so on now than a flat bed.
Crate him beside the girls so he is not segregated and do not allow him to roam freely in this area for the time being. Always place him in the crate when in the area.
If it's a anxious issue (meaning something has triggered him to deposit his scent everywhere) An example of this could be a change in routine, a new household item, new dog either in the home or near by. A DAP plug in would not do any harm.
Moving could be the exact thing that could trigger such scenting behaviour so the crate could prove to be a good constant if you introduced it now ready for moving. Obs crate would need to be introduced positively.
you could chose a negative associator but you would need to catch him in the act to do so.
You could also make him wear shorts lol which would also physically break the habit if crating is not an option. Often just breaking the habit long enough can be just as efficient. Again only when he is in the area.

Hi, cheers :) I don't think hes anxious as nothing has changed. He will do it when we are in the room together ( ie watching TV but not looking at him after hes had a good dig and spin round in one of the beds).

All of them are neutered.

The only thing that has changed is me buying new dog beds to try and get them off the settee!

It could be as simple as the beds being new and him feeling the need to familiarise them with his scent. I would maybe go with the simple making him wear shorts for a while option to literally just stop the habit or at times when you catch him scauld him with a vocal and hoof him out for 5 mins. And if you are washing the beds after he does it this will make him scent them more furiously, next time maybe soak them in some vinegar and water as opposed to putting them in the wash or wiping them with detergents.
