Hi guys,

I just recently set up on my own as a dog walker and horse sitter. Ive put posters up in all the pet shops, supermarkets etc. My car has decals on it saying what I do and everyone I know has been busy recommending me to their friends. but at the moment I have a lot more horse clients than dogs and the h6orses are far less frequent than a dog walk every day.

Can anyone suggest any other possible route for getting myself noticed? Im in Aberdeen

I found my dog walker on gumtree - you could try there? when I was looking I did web searches, and I called the Vets to see if they knew of any and the people that run the local puppy classes (which was useless cos they didn't know anyone!)

Could you put up a notice on a board at a local park? Or something like that?

Have you tried putting a card in the window of Pet Comforts? We're getting a dog soon...may end up neeing someone

As Widget suggests local park and walk rotes...leave some little flyer type ads in a small food bags to keep them dry and pin them to some wood...so people can take one away with them.

I doggy walk as of last week...cos my friend who is a receptionist at the vets where my mam is Head nurse...gave my number out thinking it was for boarding...which I do...but it was actually for dog walking..so decided to give it a go ...now walking 2 boxers, 1 shar-pei, 1 Doberman
