I walk a dog round the corner from me.
When her elderly owner is unable to walk her, she gives me a ring and I take her out.
I offered my help to her and did not ask for money, but she gives me £2 each time, which I think is very kind.
I usually walk the dog for 30-45 minutes.
Bearing in mind that it's the city, I pay $25 per hour, but my walker is fantastic. She'll take Stella to the park for 90 minutes, usually, and doesn't charge me extra, and she also sends me pictures from their 30-minute route in the afternoon. As soon as it's not 85 degrees and disgustingly humid out, she's going to do a bit of jogging with her as well.
I use a walker three times a week; the other days I work from home.
I walk dogs, not that I advertised to do this, but my friend volunteered me to walk 2 boxers, a doberman and a shar-pei, they all enquired on the same day at her place of work (vets), and 2 needed training....so I thought long and hard and decided to do it, as they live 2 mins from my house.
2 where puppies (10 weeks old) when I began so charged them £9 for having them half day, so 4 hours, now they are all on 1 hour walks at £7....and my OH actaully walks them now
All in all it was a pretty good move and I now board them...which Is my business not walking
