Dog walking location

I'm going to be driving over the bridge into Wales near Newport and then heading toward Port Talbot direction.

Can anyone recommend a nice, straight forward place to walk my dogs somewhere near our route?

You could go along the coastal path near Magor just over the bridge would be a there and back walk.
Or further towards Port Talbot you have Margam Park.

How far off the motorway do you want to go to walk the dog?

Which bridge? There's a gorgeous walk along the banks of the Severn straight from Aust services M48.

Aberafan Beach in Port Talbot is fantastic for dogs. Kenfig Nature Reserve and onto the beach is also brilliant.

It's definitely perfect for dog walking. Miles of beach, dunes if you want to get away from others and lots of great coffee and food options. It's also full of "dog" people walking their dogs, too - people who understand dogs and dog behaviour.

Depends how far off the motorway, but Wentwood outside chepstow has a lot of nice walks along woodland tracks
