Dog weeing in house-advice please

I dont often come in AAD, but some forum members will know Iam an equestrian house sitter. I went yesterday to see one of my clients re a job starting next week. She has a German Shorthaired pointer, a lovley dog, I have looked after this dog since they first got her when she was 12 weeks old, when I first sat for them the dog slept in a cage at night, never was a problem as a pup. bit of chewing but easy actually. I actually lead trained it as a pup while they were on hoilday once. They also had a Weimerarner also a nice dog, Weimerarner now been put down, but about 6 months before the weimy was pts the GSP (who is now about 2) started weeing in the house at night to start with, I used to take the water up at night and never had a problem, but yesterday owner said she is doing it during the day, but oddly enough on its bed and on its bedding (vet bed stuff) this is what I find odd, dogs dont normally wee where they sleep.
First I said is it cos other dog been pts, no, cos it did it before.Then I said is she left all day while youre at work- no because they come home at lunch and take her out, so dog not left alone too long. Anyway I will see what happens when I start there on Friday, as Iam there 24/7 on sits.
Any ideas would be greatfully accepted, because this is such a nice dog.
 
Has the vet checked it out?

Has she seen the dog doing this or could it be incontinence, when she is resting or sleeping?

Also tell her to chuck the bedding so she doesn't scent mark.
 
They are very clean people and the bedding is washed every time the dog does it.
I dont think she has actually witnessed this weeing, they either get up to it in the morning or come in too it from work.
I cant work it out as when she was a pup she was "clean" in the house very quickly
 
Not suggesting the people are not clean, but a dog's nose is more powerful than ours and could still pick up residual scent.

And more importantly - vet? She might have an infection or waterworks problem. Is she spayed and if so, at what age?
