Spit That Out
Well-Known Member
Hi, my dog isn't feeling well and could do with some quick advice....
He's a 2 year old collie and the last 24 hours has been quiter than normal, this mornings poop on his walk was fine but at lunch he had the runs three times on his walk. OH gets in before me and let him in the garden where he ran out and did a very farty loose poop. He doesn't normally go in the garden so he must have been desperate.
His walk tonight almost every 5 mins he tried pooping with either nothing coming out or a dribble of poop.
He's drinking normally and when with his friends plays as normal but in the house he's more sleepy than usual and has gone stright to sleep instead of trying to play.
As far as I'm aware he hasn't eaten anything unusual (doesn't eat human food) just his usual food and biscuits. But he does have a habit of drinking from the water butt when OH waters the garden. I've told him to stop letting him do that just in case.
Could it be worms? He was last wormed end of January.
I'm going to starve him for 24hrs and then try a bit of tea (dry food) to see if that helps...does that sound like a plan?
Should I phone the vet for advice? Am I over worrying?
His nose is wet!!
