Since the start of winter my Cavalier, Sasha has been sleeping on my bed due to the fact that it gets really cold in the conservatory where she normally sleeps. For the last few days she has had diarrhea however the last two nights she has been up in the night with it. The other night, she failed to wake me so when i woke up in the morning, yes, it was everywhere all over my cream carpet anyway I've got it off. Last night she woke me at 2:30 wanting to go out, as i took her down stairs i noticed she was shivering.
I let her out and she went. In case she didn't wake me in the night again, i put her in the conservatory and turned the heating on for her a little. In the morning, same again, everywhere but luckily it was on tiles.
I'm just wonder what could have caused it.
Could it be that she senses the stress at home, with my mum, and its upsetting her?
She has been on James Wellbeloved puppy performance food for the last 2 weeks and JW Mini Jacks treats.
I have been taking her to the farm in the morning, so could she have a chill or something?

Any suggestion and help welcome!
Thanks

Possibly colitis/gastro-enteritis. Our old girl has always suffered about two really bad attacks a year throughout her life - normally after eating something she shouldn't - though the vet says that she brews it up herself as she's so prone to it. Although extremely well house trained she just can't control herself when this happen and it can be very messy everywhere.

Go to the vets and you'll probably find she's given an antibiotic jab and a five day or so course of antibiotic tablets (which may make her miserable) and possibly an anti-inflamatory injection e.g. corticosteroids. We've found that it never gets better without treatment, but she is hyper sensitive to everything and a vets dream (- constant visits).

Then a chicken and rice diet for a few days and it should settle down and your bed will be safe again.

My two Springer pups and Munsterlander "junior" keep getting "funny tummies". Vet said they're fine, but keep getting tummy upsets (ugh.....literally just liquid sometimes!) because the little rats keep eating unsavoury items, eg chicken crap, horse crap, rabbit crap....ANY crap!!! etc etc. I find that feeding plain boiled rice and hard boiled egg for a couple of days does the trick.....one of the Springer pups had an "accident" in the house today, but I was jubilant......it was SOLID!!! Result!

Shivering, restlessness and panting is a good sign a dog needs to explode...lol

all over the house usually...but they do try their best to let us know they need to be out

I always starve for a period, then introduce boiled rice and chicken and cool boiled water...then gradually introduce food again.
She may have eaten something dodgy at the farm you took her on....keep her on the same food to monitor her.....and if it persists more than 2 days...I would get her checked.
