LOL!! My Akbash puppy Clover's brother came to the farm to play with her last night and I managed to take some piccies of them. They were zipping around and having an absolute blast!

Daisy, my black shepherd, was a number of times confused as to whom she was playing with LOL!!

Why did I think CLover was a collie (must be going mad)!!

He is much nicer than a collie, def double vision though - how could you tell the difference?? Did they have coloured collars on or something.

Ahh you are probably thinking about Poppy; she was my collie who was put to sleep just before I bought Clover. I would have had another collie as I have always had collies, however they are really too small for where I live....too many big critters here LOL!!

Clover is a pretty neat dog - never had an Akbash before so we took a little bit of a chance with her. So far she is turning out perfectly.

What fun! We've met up with Stella's half-sister a couple of times, but my girl's only full sibling lives in Texas.

I hear you on owning a dog that's too small. I saw a coyote in the woods when walking Stella the other week. Thank god it wasn't a bear

Yeah, I was watching a documentary on NYC coyotes the other evening. I guess dogs and cats aren't at a huge risk so long as they remain with their owners or indoors in the case of cats. I call my cats in at night - don't want to lose any of them particularly as we appear to have another pack moved into the area and my neighbour just found a huge den in his woods. I think he is calling the hunter in during the winter as there are so many of them now.

Completely agree with you though - would have 10 coyotes any day to 1 bear - I can't bear bears

. Joking aside, no I really don't like bears at all after having the wits frightened out of me a couple of years ago when one came right down to the house.

Apparently Akbash are competent at taking on bears and can kill wolves and they easily kill coyotes; these were the reasons I thought having one would be a very good idea.

You don't have bears running around NYC do you?
