Doggy manners what do you do ?

I always put my two on a lead if I see someone with their dog on a lead. If the other dog is off lead, I leave my off too. They will go up to other dogs to play, one of them can be very submissive.
 
Apparently you let your black lab belt full tilt across a huge area of grass towards the suckers with their dogs on their leads and chat on your phone. I yelled 3 times for the owner to call their dog because it took that long to get to us. Owner oblivious. It really did just want to play, but my bitch generally doesn't! Ironically, it got grouched at by my usually pleasant natured dog as too pushy for his liking and ran off before the bitch could go into hell hound mode. She just watched, wagging her tail.
 
i had an incident the other week when walking my three, one of whom is/was recovering from cruciate surgery.

all mine were on leads and i was walking them along a farm track/footpath when a GSD appeared ahead of us, when it saw us it picked up speed and headed in our direction, i stopped got my dogs steady and when said GSD arrived it got a very well aimed (i surprised myself) kick on the end of the snout-there was not time to think of doing anything different, i don't know if the dog was just very poor with its doggy etiquette skills or aggressive (she was silent and not bouncing so i think not friendly), not that it mattered really i was not going to wait for things to go wrong-the dog turned and ran.

I told one of them one to try to keep moving instead of waiting (he tries to call five angry dogs in and make them sit as we pass, creating a nice frustrating situation for them) and he gave me a mouthful.

Some peoples dogs have more idea than them, you just cant help them
 
If theres a large enough area to pass, I tend to leave one dog off and one on the lead (grumpy girl goes on the lead) as I know the other wont go over to say hello if we are going in the other direction/wide.

From the other side, I dont mind when friendly dogs come up to say hello my 'on the lead' dog, as she needs to learn to say a gentle hello and move on (as I say, shes not aggressive, just grumpy and very, very boisterous so needs to be introduced on the lead).
 
I gave a lady a mouthful a few weeks ago whilst out with my rottie pup. She was only 5 months at the time but this woman let her bloody great big GSD's run full pelt at my girl. She was off lead but we were in the middle of a training session and the GSD owner could clearly see that she was a baby and we were training, not playing!
Owner was yelling 'ooo they just want to play!!' But poor pup was so terrified she weed. They were damn big dogs and she was crying and screaming as they were playing far too rough for her.
The dogs evidently had no recall at all. I was so mad!
 
Mine always go back on their leads when I see any other dog coming. I have 3 and am not prepared to have a strange dog in the middle of my little pack. Fine introducing them on a one on one basis but I am not going to risk it with my 3 loose and unprepared. Also with the youngest, she absolutely has to be 100% that she cannot approach another dog, be it on or off lead as I hack out with her.
