Dogs acting strangely when flea sprayed

Just wondered if anyone elses dog acts weirdly when they're flea sprayed??
I know it may sound odd but when I spray my dogs they get like a 2nd wind and start running around the house and going mad!! They're not in pain or anything like that they just go hyper!!
It's very funny to watch

but I just wondered if anyone else has the same entertainment or even if anyone knows why they might do this??!

could it be because the spray is cold on them?

there is a flea spray which can make them go barmy and can induce fits! starts with N in an orangy can, thought it was off the market now! best buy your flea stuff from the vets!

We use the deflea one that you squeeze onto the skin between the shoulder blades. They both hate having it done and then run around and roll on anything they can find to rub it off! Very annoying makes the sofa stink!

Gosh thats funny, I have used that flea spray for years and never had a problem with it

Excellent stuff, brillliant at killing fleas, far easier than faffing around with blumming Frontline pipettes, and not a fit or a barmy dog in sight

I do de-flea them after they have been in kennels mind you

katy- be careful with them rubbing on stuff straight away as they can remove a substantial amount of the stuff doing this striaght away to make it ineffective! (I am sure urs dont have fleas but if you can prevent it as much as possible its just a bit safer!)

OP - Some dogs just don't like being sprayed, so maybe they would be happier with the spot on frontline combo?

ALL of my dogs do this when frontlined with spray or pipettes! It's hilarious!

Our new tactic to avoid them trying to rub it off is giving them their dinner straight after or taking them for a walk so they are distracted from it and by the time they've finished they've forgotten

I used to use Nuvantop on my boxer.... she would go absolutely bonkers..... snorting and diving into her bed, rolling around and laying on her back etc....

She used to look like she was having fun though and not having a fit!!

I didnt realise that they had stopped making it

or that it caused health issues
