dogs and bikes

i was thinking of riding with the dogs for a change of exercise for them. i don't want to attach them to the bike (Chimo will run off with me no doubt!) so will have them loose following the bike, this will be on the costal paths, away from any traffic, but i am worried that they will get a thing for bikes and start chasing others. has this happend to anyone else? i dont want them to become a nucanse!! (??)

Never had a problem like that before, it has been me they are following, not the bike.
Cats and low flying birds, now that is another matter

I would only do this if their recall is good to prevent them hooning off after other interesting things while you have to ditch the bike!

i think they would be able to tell the difference between you riding and someone else. my brothe likes to take mine out on his bike and of course i ride (horse) with mine- they never chanse other horses or bikes.

excellent way of excercising them though- they'll love it!

I used to do it with my two terrier, they loved it.

recall is normally ok. but i think i will go early in the morning so there are fewer people around just incase. i think thwy will enjoy it as Chimo loves to run!
