This is possibly one of the most stupid questions ever - but can Dogs be afffected by Pollen? The reason I ask is that my spangle seems to be bit wheezy and has slightly runny eyes - not to the extent that I want to rush him to the vets, but enough for me to notice! The pollen count round here is really high at the moment - all the tree pollen is out and the Rapeseed is in flower - my own hayfever is rampaging :(

If they can be affected by pollen - is there anything I can give him without a vets prescription?

Many thanks
Tamsin

Yes he can have an allergy to pollen, as to what to give him, you need a dosage so def have him checked initially, he could be prescribed antihistamines, which you could get from the chemist, but I would recommend u make an appointment with the vet first for a consult.

I always keep Piriton in, and the dose for a smaller dog would be what you would give a child. My dogs snap at wasps so its my dread they will sting their throat so its a safe option for both problems.
Hope it helps.
